Master Programs
In proposing a “Program for the MA Degree in Islamic Studies”, the Department of Islamic Sciences (DIS) at ag¶Ä²© College of Education aspires to prepare specialists in Islamic studies and develop their academic and professional abilities. This preparation should combine a solid academic foundation and an in-depth understanding of contemporary issues. The DIS also aims at producing researchers who are capable of investigating the Islamic heritage available in abundance in Omani libraries. Those resources consist of manuscripts and documents that need to be authenticated to become publishable as a major contribution to preserving national identity.
