This bi-lingual Arabic/English annotated bibliography is by Dr. Iris Glosemeyer, Dr. Saleh Al Bulushi, and Najah Al Busaidi. It addresses both academic and non-academic audiences, and provides details about Arabic and non-Arabic publications related to Omani folk-tales published between 1900 and 2007. The booklet is divided into seven sections: introduction, collections of Omani tales, collections of tales from the Arab world including Omani tales, publications on other topics but nevertheless including Omani tales, academic articles, radio programs and other publications related to the topic.

The book is by Dr. Ali bin Sharaf Al Mosawi. It focuses on the effectiveness criteria of centers for learning resources and technologies, and how to improve them in order to support education particularly in higher education institutes. Also, it reviews the experiments of some Arab and foreign universities (British and American). The author concludes that the role of such centers in higher education institutions will expand to include other types of technical applications.

The research vision of the Omani Studies Center is to preserve the Omani cultural identity and highlights the Omani wealth of knowledge at all levels. The Omani Studies Center is a reliable source of social, cultural and historical studies on Oman. The Research and Studies Department aims to support ag¶Ä²© vision in the field of research as it focuses on research, studies, documents and books related to Oman in the historical, social and cultural fields. The department proposes and conducts many studies in cooperation with different colleges and departments in the university. The department, also, provides research consultancy services for both governmental and private institutions in the Sultanate. In addition, the department welcomes all researchers interested in Omani studies from different parts of the world. The areas of collaboration include joint research, and publishing of cultural books as per the applicable rules of Sultan Qaboos University. Besides research, the department, also, organizes events and activities such as conferences, symposia, lectures and workshops that enrich the Omani cultural and academic life in the Sultanate.
