On 03/10/2023, the听College听of Nursing hosted a dynamic and engaging听college听retreat听centred around the vital topics of quality improvement in nursing education and the pertinent standards set forth by the Accreditation Commission for Education in Nursing (ACEN). The听retreat听aimed to enhance our collective understanding of ACEN accreditation, foster collaboration among faculty and staff, and reinforce our commitment to excellence in nursing education.
Throughout the day, faculty members, stakeholders, current students and alumni engaged in interactive workshops and discussions, delving into the specific ACEN standards relevant to our institution. These standards covered areas such as curriculum development, student outcomes, faculty qualifications, and resources. Facilitators led enlightening sessions that encouraged open dialogue and knowledge sharing among attendees, promoting a deeper understanding of ACEN's requirements and best practices for compliance.
